Position
We are offering a visiting lecturer position to teach signal processing courses and to carry out research in either speech and audio processing or computer vision. The best candidate in any of these fields will be selected.
We offer a 1 year contract, which can be extended for one additional year. Gross salary is approximately 22,000 €/year.
Requirements
Ph.D. in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or closely related fields.
Candidate Job Activity
Teaching duties: 3 courses/academic year in the field of Signal Processing and Communications
Research duties: the candidate will get involved in one or several research lines in these fields:
- Computer vision
- Medical Image-based Computer-Aided Diagnosis
- Audio- and Video-based Event Detection
- Speech Technologies
- Aural and Visual Attention Models
Deadline
This call will remain open until the position is filled. Therefore, there is no strict deadline and the appointment can be made at any time. However, we aim at making a decision on November 30, 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Date of Joining
The candidate is expected to join the Department of Signal Processing and Communications in early 2016.
